Designing with our clients
and not for them
Doing design work with the users present helps in many ways to get a product our clients want and like. In addition to seeing oportunities on the screen as the design develops, it also helps contractors and suppliers to understand the desired results.
Designing in 3D virtual reality
Having fun again in considering the options
After drafting the known information into AutoCADD, it is possible to quickly shift to SketchUP 3D and use that as a base for building a virtual model of any design.
It does take some time to build a model of a home or business location, but after that process gets beyond the basic information stage it is fun to visualise the possibilities. Since the model is basically to scale, it can also be used to test ideas to see if they work. When we are done we can fly around and into the model, even look through walls and roofs, changing colors and textures as we go.
