Example #1 – House design in Twin Cities

Some years ago, I designed a home for a client on a difficult site.  I advised him to arrange the house and garage in a way to account for that, plus several features that fit his bachelor lifestyle but may be a problem for a married couple when he wants to sell the house.  I met my client several years after the house was built and he said he sold it because he did not like it, commenting that he wished he had listened to me.

I recommend that my clients take the time to think through the entire design process to get the results you expect  (and will give you joy.)

Example #2 – New  Office Building in Northern Minnesota

A recent well-built building was placed at the back of an odd shaped lot behind a restaurant to make the building simpler with a rectangle shape.  The problem now is that the building is not visible from the main highway and rentals are very slow.
